Developing job search tools for a client with a few employment barriers.

Characteristics

• A man in his early’s 40s with a back injury had tried retraining and changing careers.

• During his employment gap he completed training in medical equipment repair.

• When market conditions changed for the worse, he needed to broaden his appeal.

• Now searching for work as a general electronics technician.

Results

He  had three interviews – including a ride-a-long interview with one company.  After a month of interviews, he was one of the three candidates remaining. 

He has been getting interviews, but as yet not secured a position.
